Apart from the Art & Tech projects, Javier Ideami has worked on numerous inventions and devices in the last years, here we show a few of them.
Simi. This is a device Ideami created to help guitarrists practice their craft while on the move, travelling etc.
You can use it to practice both the left and the right hands.
Lander. A glove with sensors controls a journey through a virtual landscape.
The user moves the hand and the sensors detect the movement, data is transmitted to the computer through I/O ports. At the computer there is a virtual landscape through which the user moves by moving the hand that is inside the glove.
Remote I-Head. Ideami created this project to research the remote control of a videocamera through the internet. Computers A and B are connected through the internet with an open permanent link. As the user moves the head right, the camera at B also points right, etc. So the user can explore the remote location just by moving the head.
